The Licensing Awards 2012 finalists have now been announced, with DK featuring within the ranks of the prestigious shortlist.
The LEGO Ideas Book has gained a place in the ‘Best Written, Listening or Learning Range’ category, having beaten off fierce competition with over 4000 products entered for consideration altogether.
To reach the final, each entry had to pass the scrutiny of an extensive panel of retail experts, including buyers from stores such as Tesco, WHSmith and Amazon.
A list of the finalists will appear in the Brand & Sport Licensing Source Book, to be published by Max Publishing in mid August. A glittering Licensing Awards evening ceremony will then follow on Tuesday 11th September, where the winners will be unveiled to an audience of around 1300 retailers, licensors and licensees.
We are delighted to be shortlisted alongside the Moshi Monsters range by our Penguin colleagues. Other finalists in the ‘Best Written, Listening or Learning Range’ category include Harry Potter Stage to Screen from Titan Books, London 2012 Official Guide to London Collection from Time Out Guides, the Octonauts book range from Simon & Schuster, and the Peppa Pig Fun Phonics Collection from Inspiration Works.
Bring on September and the results!
